Guest lecture on Cross-Cultural Communication by Frances Lin

On 5 of November 1-year students of Applied Linguistics had a great chance to listen to the guest lecture on Cross-Cultural Communication by Frances Lin, the School Director of EF International Language Campuses in Singapore.

In today’s global world, the topic of cross-cultural communication is especially relevant because it helps people of different cultural backgrounds understand each other better, negotiate more effectively and avoid cultural barriers. Students actively participated in the discussion on the importance of cross-cultural communication and were able to ask different questions.

In addition, Frances Lin, who holds a degree in Applied Linguistics, shared her rich experience in education and explained students how Applied Linguistics can be useful in various career pathways in education, government, business, research, or media.
