Full house at the performance of THE LAST KHAN dedicated to Khan Kenesary anniversary

On the 215th anniversary of Khan Kenesary, the last khan of the Kazakh people, the KAZGUU Centre for Kazakhstan History, organised a production of “THE LAST KHAN”, as part of the Rukhani Zhangyru programme.
The the first-year students who acted in the play have caused a furore as all the tickets were sold out. The play depicted the legendary personality of Kasymuly as the leader of the national liberation movement of 1837-1947 against the tsarist colonisation of the region.
The students were transported to the era of their ancestors, who gave their lives for the future independence of their country. The skilful acting touched the hearts of the spectators and revived the memories of their sacrifice for the future generation.
