Our insessional courses support students currently studying at M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University. These courses have been designed to provide current students with additional knowledge and skills, which will help them keep up with their studies and further succeed in their careers.

How much does it cost?
Currently we are offering 4 workshops on the following topics:
Basics of academic writing
During this workshop students will become familiar with the ways to properly paraphrase to avoid plagiarism in writing. Additionally, instructors of our Department will explain in detail how to work with APA Style – the compulsory writing format at M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University. This knowledge will assist students in correctly using APA format to organize papers and reference lists.
English for Employability
Upon completion of this workshop students will have acquired necessary knowledge on how to write a successful CV; most importantly, they will be exposed to tips and techniques that will successfully prepare them for a job interview. Additionally, they will have a chance to rehearse for an interview with highly qualified instructors of our department.
Business communication
If students want to work in the international arena and communicate with foreign experts in their chosen profession, it is critically important for them to know Business English and this is not only ability to speak English. Having completed this workshop, they will learn how to write formal letters, e-mails, make formal calls, organize meetings, and make presentations. Also, students will learn particular vocabulary and grammatical structures necessary in Business communication.
Presentation skills
It is not surprising that presentations skills are core skills to succeed in any sphere; thus, we have decided to hold a workshop on this topic as well! During these sessions students will learn effective presentation skills to communicate with confidence and attract the audience’s attention. Moreover, we will teach students how to work with software programs such as Power Point, Prezi and Present.me to make their presentation more interesting and eye-catching!
