International scientific and practical symposium “Modern problems of turkic-slavic philology”

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the International scientific and practical symposium “Current Problems of the Turkic-Slavic Philology”, in the framework of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The symposium will be held May 12-15 in Kokshetau.

Over the last 25 years, the socio-economic, political and cultural ties between the Turkic and Slavic states in the international system expanded significantly. The symposium is aimed at updating the research perspective, taking into account the latest scientific papers on Turkic and Slavic philology, as well as the expansion of trade relations of specialists in Turkic and Slavic studies. We invite the researchers, teachers and practitioners, representatives of such disciplines as History, Art, Culture, Sociology, Journalism, cooperation and the exchange of scientific theories and hypotheses, innovative ideas, designed by Turkic and Slavic intercultural interaction in different contexts.

The goal of the symposium: to attract the attention of a wide range of researchers to the actualization of the research perspective on the Turkic and Slavic philology, the problems of intercultural interaction in the search for identity in the modern history of Turkic and Slavic people, to invite a joint scientific discussion of current philological issues, problems of dialogue of cultures, the current state and prospects of university teaching philological disciplines.

The national literature of Turkic people and the Russian-language literature of Turkic people: Past and Present

Modern problems of Turkology

Modern problems of Slavonic Studies

Common values of Turkic and Slavic history, literature and culture

The interaction and mutual influence of Turkic and Slavic languages: literary text and journalism

Kazakh / Russian / English: teaching methods. Intercultural aspects

Selected by the decision of the editorial boad,  the article will be published in a regular or special (thematic) issue of the scientific journal

Requirements for the materials

The amount of text – from 5 to 12 pages

The text is done in Microsoft Office Word 2007 editor

font Times New Roman

the main text – font 12 pt, line spacing – single;

width adjustment;

page size – A4, portrait orientation;

margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2,5 cm, left / right – 2 cm;

indent (paragraph) is five marks (1.25 cm);

page numbers are not put down

in the presence of tables, their width should be equal to 10.8 cm, font size 10 pt in the table, with no padding.

All references to sources are given in the text in brackets after the quote (first specified number of the source, and then, after the decimal point – the page number), for example: [1, 98]. References at the end of the article titled “References” as the citation.

For the electronic sources the address and date of treatment must specified.

Title of the article – kegl14 pt. bold.

Specify the name, academic degree, title, position, name of the university, city, country – size 12 pt.

For articles written in Russian, the annotation and key words should be presented in English,

for articles written in English, the annotation and key words should be presented in Russian,

for articles written in Turkish, the annotation and key words should be presented in English and Russian.

Forum registration fee includes:

The registration fee of 10 000 tenge for Kazakhstan participants, $ 100 for participants from the CIS countries and $ 150 from foreign countries to be transferred by wire transfer prior to the conference.

Foreign participants can make payment at the time of registration just before the conference.

The registration fee for participants in absentia $ 30.

The registration fee covers workshop materials, publishing costs of the symposium, a certificate, a collection of e-mail, trips, meals.

Travel and accommodation by the participant or the sending side.

The cultural program.

Symposium  participants will be offered a tour to the historical cultural places – Resorts Borovoe, Zerenda, Karkaraly, the museum complex “Algeria” excursion “Astana – a city of the third millennium” with a visit to “Astana – Baiterek” complex., a  visit to the entertainment center “Duman” (aquarium), the National Museum of History of Kazakhstan, of the theater “Astana Opera”, the Palace of Peace and Accord (Pyramid).
