The English Language Department organizes English for Future Leaders training as the supplementary educational program for 1-3 years students.
This program aims to enhance students’ level of English language knowledge, in line with the curriculum, and to develop a number of competencies required for foreign language use in everyday life accordingly.
In the framework of the program students are offered to attend the following courses:
- Mandatory component
- Receptive Skills: Scoring High in Listening and Reading – 03.03.2017
- Grammar in Use: Developing Grammar in Context -10.03.2017
- Vocabulary in Use: Memorizing Words -17.03.2017
- Speaking: Developing Fluency -31.03.2017
- Creative Writing: Improving Writing Skills -07.04.2017
- Business Correspondence: How to Effectively Fill in Applications and Queries?-14.04.2017
- Elective courses
- Intercultural Communication: Collaboration within a Multinational Community – 21.04.2017
- Fundamentals of Professional Translation and Interpreting -28.04.2017
The minor program English for Future Leader is completed by testing for each block. Successful students are eligible to obtain Minor program certificate.
Highly experienced teachers both from foreign and Kazakh universities will host for every single topic of the program.
English for Future Leaders program is mainly designed for 1-3 years students of non-linguistic specialities of higher educational institutions regardless of level of English. The total course consists of 32 hours (16 contact hours and 16 hours of independent work), including 24 hours of mandatory and 8 hours of elective component.
