2017 KAZGUU Student Essay Contest

This event brings together global-minded young scholars from all over the world to engage in a dialogue about global issues and initiatives that could be carried back to their universities and institutions. KAZGUU University and Education First are pleased to sponsor this event and welcome young researchers and students up to 25 years old to examine the image of young personality whose expectancies are to modify our today world.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

Describe the image of a young person who has the power to make a difference in the world.

The history knows a great number of young people who have made a positive contribution to the world development and, thus inspired the generations. Today the 21st century marked as the period of technological and social changes needs exceptional young people. 

Application guidelines:

  • Essay must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized essays will be rejected.
  • Essay must be written by one person. Co-authored essays are rejected.
  • Essay and application form must be submitted online: kazguu@gmail.com
  • Essay must be in MS Word format. Words limit – up to 700 words (title words does not count). Font – Times New Roman, size – 12, spacing – 1.5 between lines.
  • B. Applications violating the given above guidelines will not be considered.

Deadline – April 30, 2017 (23:59 Astana time).

Assessment criteria: relevance of content, cohesion and coherence, language accuracy, organization.

Awards

The awards are allocated according to the followings nominations:

  • “ Award for unique, authentic, and original voice”;
  • Award for inspirational motive”;
  • Award for promoting social equality and responsibility”.

* The winners will be announced on May 15, 2017 on KAZGUU University website. Certificates and gifts will be mailed to the winners in June 2017.
