On February 27, 2017 KAZGUU University GES 1^st year students, Kaziyev Adilbek, Musadilov Chingis, Tazhanov Askar and Meyrbek Alina, under the supervision of associate professor of English language department Rakisheva Aray took part in City Olympiad of English language, devoted to EXPO 2017, among the 1-year-students of non-language majors. Tasks of the Olympiad were designed to test the knowledge of grammatical and lexical basics of English, listening and speaking skills.

In summing up the student Alina Meyrbek was awarded the diploma of II degree and the teacher was marked with the letter of gratitude.
