KAZGUU students performed Romeo and Juliet

Yesterday, KAZGUU hosted a fully sold-out performance of Shakespeare’s legendary play. All the roles were acted by 1st-year students. In addition, the students performed a sketch ‘Travel to English-speaking countries’.

As practice has shown, creative events motivate students to learn English, developing their acting skills and poetic craft.

All the actors were natural in their roles played in Shakespeare’s original language, and drew a big round of applause from the audience. The premier was completely sold-out. The students thanked the organiser of the event – the English Department, and particularly F. A. Turebekova, for the opportunity to demonstrate their talents on stage and a memorable evening.
